This is the Arcadia by Jacopo Sannazaro, a 15th-century Italian writer. The book is a combination of prose and verse, and embodies the classical pastoral tradition in a modern text. Wikipedia claims that, "when Arcadia was printed in the 16th century, it became a bestseller," with at least 66 Italian editions printed. This is the only Italian-language edition in the pre-1515 portion of the Wost-McDonald collection. The Aldine Anchor & Dolphin device appears on the title page and on p184.
