Works by Iovianus Pontanus, a 15th-century humanist poet and diplomat. This edition contains the poem "Urania," which is an exploration of the mythological aspects of astronomy and was reputedly a popular text of its day. Pontanus was a friend of Sannazaro. The Aldine Dolphin & Anchor device is prominent on the title page and on p492.
